The Reading League’s Reading Buddies is a fun, foundational reading TV series for students Pre-K through 3rd grade!

The show features important underlying components of skillful word reading such as phonological awareness, letter names/sounds, and blending sounds to decode words accurately.

A talking dog? A robot? After school reading scouts!? Now that’s a better recipe than Dusty’s “dog food casserole!”  But why is this show so critical for children?

Students who struggle to read often feel alone, as do the educators and parents who experience frustration when they cannot find adequate information and guidance.  Everyone needs support.  The show provides that and so much more.

The series garnered two consecutive NY Emmy Nominations for Children/ Youth Long form Content
